MyBlogLog Confirms API Development

According to an official post on the MyBlogLog Blog, the rumors surrounding the new API being released to the public have been confirmed.
Currently, they are looking feedback from developers, but they are running on an invite-only beta until the final version of the API (now in beta) is released. It looks promising -they will be featuring the best apps on stage at an upcoming tech event when it is launched.
A few of the benefits of the API for the developers, translating into further improvements/extensions/tools in the future for general users of MyBlogLog include the ability to get all the websites associated with a particular tag and the ability to get all the members’ contacts on MyBlogLog. An additional feature is lookup by ID on a service such as Flickr or Twitter – which gathers member’s profile data including sites authored, tags, and identities on other sites.
It’ll be interesting to see how developers create new applications for MyBlogLog and integrate it into their personal sites or build it into existing sites such as Flickr.
