Google Reader Now Shows Published Date

It is being reported that Google Reader added the option of showing the published date when you highlight over the Date (# hours ago) area. Besides showing the date it was published, it also shows the date when the post was indexed by Google. 

This is a cool feature that will be used more often, as you can see when your page was indexed as well as a comparison between how long the post took to reach your Google Reader list.

Numerous other features were added such as a new favicon and added keyboard shorcuts (a to add subscriptions, g+d to open the feed directory, and e to email the current item).
