WordPress RC2 Released with Screencast
by Kevin on March 26, 2008
Matt Mullenweg released a short video explaining some of the new features of WordPress, including the new interface and the multiple photo uploader, one of the key features that I am looking forward to. Currently, the process of uploading multiple images into WordPress is extremely time consuming, involving going into multiple tabs, refreshing screens, and so on. Other bloggers, especially those that have photography-oriented blogs will also greatly appreciate the update.
In the second release, WordPress is coming closer to a final release. It is extremely important that you upgrade to the latest version if you are experienced in tracking bugs so that other users, who are switching to WordPress don’t experience glitches while upgrading or installing WordPress for the first time.
Note: Matt stated that themes and plugins should still work and maintain compatibility from previous versions, but certain versions of plugins may not work, so a list has been compiled for those that work and those that don’t.
