Google Analytics Coming to Blogger
Measure Map was acquired by Google in February of 2006 and may be seeing an integration with Google Blogger/Blogspot in the near future. The new interface was presented by Jeff Veen at the South by Southwest conference.
The new interface will provide “clear, accessible reports, coupled with powerful tools for analysis, and apply it to Google’s already robust Google Analytics product.” When the product comes out of private-beta, bloggers will be able to quickly see stats from within their Blogger Dashboard, as shown in the image.
All existing Measure Map users will be migrated to the service first. At a later point, it will be presented to the general public in the form of an option reporting interface within both Blogger and Google Analytics accounts.
This may potentially present a great way for presenting stats and traffic information without the addition of other services, as Google Analytics provides in-depth information about visitors, while the Measure Map interface will allow a ‘quick view’ of where visitors are coming from, the most popular post, top searches, and so on.
Demand for this service likely increased with the service that WordPress.com and WordPress.org users currently receive, with an in-dashboard snapshot of statistical information.
