Ask Your Readers What is Most Important
Blogs are an open communication method between you and your readers. Even if you are a full-time blogger, you can run polls and directly ask readers what they are looking for. When you receive feedback, it can help you guide the direction that your blog should go. For example, readers may desire a different type of post than you enjoy creating, so some compromises must be made.
Benefits of polls: Polls help to create an immediate line of connection between your readers and yourself. People find it much easier to answer a poll, although results may be swayed by the selections they are able to use. They also don’t address on how your site can be improved unless you run multiple polls over a period of time.
Benefits of direct communication: Direct communication with readers (in the form of an open post) is often more distracting to readers who are used to the typical content you produce. However, comments (or email) offers a better format for specifying exactly what needs to be done to better please the readers.
The main purpose for this post is to open up a line of communication between you and myself – what direction would you like to see this blog go in? In other words, would you rather see more blog tips, reviews of services, resource collections, or blogging news? I have gone through all posts and I have a severe lack of general tips in connection with services. The past month or so brought with it a lot of change – a transition to posts that apply general knowledge to blogging, from posts that didn’t apply to most readers and were more sporadic in nature. This doesn’t mean that I am about to desert this blog, I feel that it still has potential of growing, although I feel it is time to “restart” in a new direction.
I now turn it over to you to offer a line of communication directly to the blog author.

Running a Poll…
This is one great way of knowing what the majority of your readers think of your blog.
Running a poll let you know what your readers want, then tally this up and show the results on your blog.
How do you do this? What plug-ins are now available?
