WordPress Plugins

WordPress, one of the fastest growing content management systems, is extremely powerful at allowing you to track your own stats directly from the dashboard.

Note: Images have been cropped from the Screenshots area of the WordPress Plugin Directory.  Plugins are compatible with most versions of WordPress 2.5-2.6.1 and higher.

Blog Voyeur – Uses the cookie left after someone leaves a comment to identify their return visit(s).

Complete Stats – Displays a sidebar widget with a set of stats about your website, including PageRank, Alexa Rank, and others.

Counterize II – A simple counter plugin with no external libs – saves timestamp, visited URI, and more about your blog’s statistics.

CyStats – Advanced stats for WordPress, with bounce rate, ignore-by-cookie, ignore-by-IP, post ID, user_agent lists, hits, visits for select periods, humans or robots, top referring pages, and more.

GeneralStats – Counts the number of users, categories, posts, comments, and more, with full flexibility over the view of the theme.

Google Analytics for WordPress – Automatically tracks and segments all outbound links from within posts, etc. such as file extensions, outbound comment author links, and more.

Google Analyticator – Adds the necessary JavaScript code to enable Google Analytics on your blog.  It provides full support for the latest version of the Google Analytics tracking code, inserts the tracking code on all WordPress pages, automatically tracks outbound links, and more.

GoStats – A plugin that displays the GoStats web counter system on your WordPress blog.

FeedBurner Feed Stats – Plugin that displays your FeedBurner feed stats from inside the Admin interface – includes subscribers, hits, reach, item click throughs, and item views.

FeedStats – A simple statistics tool for feeds, displaying the number of feeds you have, time of stay, and the option of displaying stats right from the Dashboard.

ImmerStat – Places a .PNG in the corner of your admin screen with your WordPress.com page view stats, provided through the use of the Google Charts API.

Piwik Analytics - Integrates the Piwik analytics tool in your blog, adding the JavaScript code into every page, so you don’t have to.

Popularity Contest – Keeps a count of your post, category, archive views, comments, trackbacks, and more to determine which of your posts are the most popular.

Quantcast Quantifier – This plugin adds the necessary JavaScript code to enable Quantcast logging on any WordPress blog, eliminating the need to edit the template code to begin using the service.

Official StatCounter Plugin – This plugin brings the power of StatCounter features to your blog, including the invisible counter options, flexibility, and in-depth looks at visitor paths.

StatPress - This real-time plugin displays statistics about blog stats, collecting information about visitors, spiders, search keywords, feeds, browsers, and more.  It is available in multiple languages, and also allows you to place a widget in your sidebar.

StatPress

Statrix – Collects data about your blog visits.  It appears similar to Automattic’s version of the WordPress.com Stats, with some extra features, such as visitors, spiders, and RSS readers.

Ultimate Google Analytics – Plugin that adds Google Analytics JavaScript on each page of your weblog without requiring changes to your template.

Blog Stats by W3Counter – This plugin integrates W3Counter’s free web stats service into the WordPress blog admin area, allowing you to quickly see your blog statistics provided by the W3Counter service.

WassUp – An advanced tool that allows you to track many of the common information that people are looking for in their statistics plugin.  It allows you to graph and filter many areas and “spy” on your visitors.

WassUp

WordPress.com Stats – This is one of the most popular WordPress plugins, which requires your WordPress API Key.  It collects information about your pageviews, most popular posts and pages, where traffic is coming from, and what people click on before they live.  It is displayed in your WordPress Dashboard.

WordPress.com Stats

WordPress.com Stats Helper – This plugin will retrieve information from your WordPress.com stats and place it on your blog, displaying similar information to the original plugin.

WP-Stats – Allows you to place stats in your sidebar and view them from your Dashboard.
