Visual Tracking and Visualization

These services provide visual tracking, which show heat maps and related stats, allowing you to take an in-depth look at the paths of your visitors to help you create a better-designed site.

ClickTale – ClickTale allows you to watch your website visitors, see every mouse movement and click, as well as improve web usability, conversions, and ad revenue.  Plans (free to $990/month) vary with the number of recorded pages, pageviews per month, and the type of site you run.  Free trials are available for people who want to try out the service.

ClickTale

Click Tracks – An enterprise-level service for tracking web marketing campaigns, ideal for optimizing the effectiveness of PPC spendings, reduce keyword costs, and additional management features.

Clicky – Clicky is similar to Performancing Metrics, although under a different name and offers a good user interface for viewing stats at a relatively little to no cost to the user.  The service will not monitor sites over 100,000 daily page views.

Clicky

Crazy Egg - A service that helps you visualize your visitors by showing you where people are clicking through the use of heat maps.  There are both free and “Pro” accounts available, for up to 250,000 visitors tracked per month.  Other features include confetti, overlay, list, sharing, blocking, archived reports, RSS and email notifications, as well as live reporting of your stats.

Crazy Egg

IndexTools – Now a Yahoo! company, this service offers web analytics (similar to Urchin Software for larger companies), bid management, and other professional services.

IndexTools

RobotReplay – Lets you record and watch your visitors in action – recorded sessions of every mouse movement, click, and keystroke.  It allows you to improve your site’s usability, see where your readers are getting bored, and covert more visitors to buyers.

RobotReplay

VisitorVille – VisitorVille is a “fun, accurate, and professional stats” program for your website. You can “actually” see visitor paths, track AdWords and Yahoo campaigns, email campaigns, see visual reports on your traffic, chat with customers on your website, and more.
