Just be sure that you contact them about the issue if your account is banned and they should be able to help, especially if you are able to prove that you were not spamming other members. Updating your account/profile shouldn't really matter. You are providing content to the service (in a sense) and adding value for them, so they actually encourage this. Unless you were posting links to your website/blog or other sites, there shouldn’t really be a problem or dispute with your account and their terms.
