9rules Acquired by Splashpress Media

According to the Official 9rules Blog, the company is now in the hands of a new company, Splashpress Media. 9rules has traditionally been focused on delivering and showcasing some of the best content from the blogosphere, and Splashpress Media has had a tradition of doing some of the same, leading some well-known blogs and challenging people to create content for the web.

The transition will likely take place over the next few months, as the three main people at 9rules – Mike, Scrivs, and Tyme, help the new owners become more acquainted with how things are run and in doing so, help them introduce new features and changes.

More than anything else, these changes may not have too much of an impact on the community, but will allow the site to continue to grow and introduce new bloggers into the network as more resources are allocated.
