Myths About Using Keywords
Keywords were all the rage ten years ago. Simply hide a bunch of keywords in the meta tags area of your site, and you were guaranteed to get great results overnight. Times have changed – this really doesn’t work anymore.
Content is more important than these keywords, and as you write articles for your readers, you will naturally see more visitors coming to your site. Anyone who looks at the keywords users have searched for appear somewhere in their content, and the most popular keywords tend to be what their blog is focused about.
Search engines have placed less emphasis on these meta keywords in recent years, instead looking at your site’s relevancy online, as well as how well your site is linked with other sites.
While you need to use keywords in addition to your main content, there are still some ways that you can maintain good promotion efforts without using dozens of keywords.
- Use keywords related to your content, but stick with ones that will still permit your visitors to read your content.
- Avoid using two or more keywords that are really related to one another, as this hurts in the long-term.
- Use words that will increase your ranking, ones that are popular, and ones that may influence your visitors to turn to your site compared to competitors.
- Associate keywords with your brand that may draw in more visitors.
While I don’t claim to be an SEO expert, keep in mind that these tips can really work in promoting your blog. Another general rule when adding keywords to your post with the All-in-One or Platinum SEO Packs (WordPress Plugins) is to keep them as direct as possible. If you can’t explain the post using a few short keywords, you may need to refine which keywords you are choosing.

I don’t know anything about SEO, I read many blogs say that using keyword in your post is very important, but if I just pay attention to the keyword it will make me can’t write the post naturally, so now I just write and write, for me content is the king, keyword without good content will make readers disappointed.
